Fall Series: Democracy and Design

MASS LBP is pleased to announce MASS Talk no. 7, part one of our Democracy and Design Series:

Greening the Gardiner and the Revitalization of Public Space

Node

Architect and principal of Quadrangle Les Klein will be joining MASS LBP for MASS Talk no. 7 to discuss his design to 'cover' Toronto's Gardiner Expressway and the creation of new and revitalized public spaces.

His belief that buildings (and structures, in the case of the Gardiner) change, grow and adapt over time plays a pivotal role in his approach to projects.

His work includes innovative solutions to the challenges of urban housing forms for a diverse population, the adaptive reuse of existing structures, and the creation of dynamic environments for ideas-based organizations. One of his most well-known projects is the 299 Queen Street West (CTV building) in Toronto.

Join us for light refreshments, good company and great discussion.

MASS Talks are monthly standing-room events at local restaurants and bars where new voices with big ideas talk about the trends that are shaping public life and public policy.
